This cartridge is a pressure-balancing unit designed to maintain a constant water output temperature by adjusting to changes in hot and cold water supply pressure, which helps prevent scalding.
It is for use with American Standard’s Ultramix series bath and shower valves, and compatible with the Hampton series bath and shower valve trim.
It is designed for easy replacement, allowing you to update performance without replacing the entire faucet fixture.
