  • The 1213 cartridge is designed for use specifically with the Moen M-CORE valve system, a platform intended for simplified installation in both new construction and remodel projects. It is not compatible with PosiTemp or other older Moen valve systems.
  • This specific cartridge (the blue one) allows for both volume control and temperature control, unlike the gray 1212 cartridge which only controls temperature.
  • It works with all Moen M-CORE 3-Series trim kits and M-CORE rough-in valves (U130 and U140 series).
  • The design includes pressure-balancing capabilities, which helps maintain steady water temperature even with fluctuations in water pressure elsewhere in the home.
