Moen Posi Temp Replacement Cartridge for Shower Faucets

The Moen 1222 cartridge features a pressure-balancing mechanism, which helps maintain a consistent water temperature and protects against sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure (known as “shower shock”). The handle operation is “rotate only” to turn the water on and cycle from cold to hot.
It is specifically designed to fit all Moen single-handle Posi-Temp valves, used in both shower-only and tub/shower installations. It is not compatible with Moen faucets that have volume control or two handles.
