The 96945 is a 1-inch handle extension kit specifically designed for Moen Posi-Temp single-handle tub and shower faucets. This kit is the standard solution used when a shower valve has been recessed too deeply into the wall—often due to thick plaster, deep mud tiles, or newly added backer board and tiling—preventing the standard trim screws and handle from reaching the valve cartridge.

  • The kit comes with an extended brass stem extension, a longer metallic stop tube, longer temperature limiter parts, and the necessary extended set screws.
