Moen M-Core Cartridge

The 1213 cartridge is designed for use specifically with the Moen M-CORE valve system, a platform intended for simplified installation in both new construction and remodel projects. It is not compatible with PosiTemp or other older Moen valve systems.
This specific cartridge (the blue one) allows for both volume control and temperature control, unlike the gray 1212 cartridge which only controls temperature.
It works with all Moen M-CORE 3-Series trim kits and M-CORE rough-in valves (U130 and U140 series).
The design includes pressure-balancing capabilities, which helps maintain steady water temperature even with fluctuations in water pressure elsewhere in the home.
