- Used in pressure balance style faucets to help maintain a nearly constant water temperature.
- It is a reversible cartridge; if the hot and cold water are reversed after installation, the cartridge needs to be rotated 180 degrees and reinstalled.
- This cartridge is also known under older model numbers, including ST6000 and HL-40.
